Curriculum Topics

SESSION 1: "WHY DOES NO ONE GET ME?"
How come despite your good intentions your messages dont reach your dear ones the way you want them to receive them.

Understand how sadly the moral fabric of our society works with “right-wrong” thinking and a punish-reward mindset, which also shapes our language and actions, so often our words land as blame and attack on others during difficult conversations. This leads to them getting into defence, attack or withdrawal and how this creates dis-connection. Understand the consequences of this mindset and discover the pathway to break from this pattern.

SESSION 2: INTRO TO NONVIOLENT COMMUNICATION(NVC):
Four pillars for compassionate connection

Learn about the value of speaking the language of Observation, Feelings, Needs, and Requests (OFNR)—and how this help us express ourselves honestly and clearly while listening deeply to others, which can help build connection with our dear ones, even during difficult conversations.

Financial Flexibility and Discount Policy

We are aware that the conversations around financial flexibility and discounts will take a lot of our energy but we are willing to stretch ourselves to some extent. Despite our serious intention we may not be able to support each one of you in the way that you may wish to be supported and there may be some disappointments too. We are hoping that you see the sincerity of our effort and trust us for our intentions, even when we are not able to find a solution that is fully satisfying for you.

We are offering the three options to have more inclusion while being sustainable.

1.INSTALLMENTS

For those of you who are not able to contribute the given amount in any of the categories right away and are able to do it over time, we offer a way to contribute in 2-3 installments. This is to bring more ease for you, and for us to have the full sustainability we are hoping for.

2. EQUITY DISCOUNTS

We have identified certain criteria to navigate the discounts by trying to offset the structural imbalances which deny people access to resources. We believe that this denial at the structural level is also a kind of violence and we would like to try our best to counter it with some kind of affirmative action. Our criterion may be limited and may not address everything but it’s an humble attempt to bring more access and equity in this world.

Since processing the exemptions takes effort, we would not want to leave it for the last minute. Thus we want you to apply for Discounts by filling the form floated for it as early as possible and latest by 30th April, 2025 as the seats are limited and they may get full very soon.

Please feel safe in making requests for the discount. We may not be able to offer discounts to all but it will be a sincere way to have people included in the course irrespective of their financial resources.

3. WORK EXCHANGE

For those who find it difficult to contribute the full amount, an option is that you may contribute towards creating this event and/or for supporting Ahimsagram in its work. Ahimsagram is putting its time and energy into making this event happen and if we get support in our work, it will allow us to offer this and other such events in the future for the community. You can offer your skills and time and we can engage in it. It takes effort for us to figure out these things.

Please fill the Discount and Financial Flexibility Form

To apply for applicable discounts please fill the form below, before you have a dialogue with one of our team members. These responses will help us get a better understanding of your situation and will help us make the choice to support the person who is most eligible for the discount. We may not be able to satisfy everyone but trust that we will be seen for our intentions. Our preference is to support people who are on the margins because of the structural imbalances in the society and economy, or those who are community contributors or are in social change projects.

Silvana Rigobon

In her perspective the menstrual cycle marks the time of the lifecycle of each woman and it defines the nature of her existence, both in the relationship with herself and that with the others. Understanding the cycle dynamics is the key to understand the difference between menstruators and non menstruators and to enrich the humankind with a relationship between genders that is respectful.

She questions the notion of shame associated with menstruation and wants to invite people to change their glasses and to see the Menstrual Cycle as a space of creativity and dignity. To see it as a blessing instead of a curse. According to her, every month, a woman goes through a kind of ‘rites of passage’ where she can get in touch with her inner coach just by acknowledging, accepting, and celebrating her cycle. She is currently working on the project “Rebranding Menopause”. To know more go to https://linktr.ee/silvanarigobon

Frequently Asked Questions

The "Being Me Loving You" (BMLY) Membership Circle is a community learning space designed to help you practice understanding and expressing your needs, as well as those of your partner. Using Nonviolent Communication (NVC) as a guide, we provide exercises and role plays to strengthen your connection and communication skills.

After completing our seventh batch of BMLY online courses, we saw the need for ongoing practice to deepen and integrate the lessons. Some past participants also asked for a space to continue their learning. So, we started this continuous practice group in February 2023 for anyone interested in further exploration. Besides we are convinced that the learning that happens with a community of intentional learners, has its own magic and power. People who share similar concerns and have been walking similar paths can be guides and mentors when they share and hear each other's challenges and wins. We experienced this in the previous BMLY Membership and are convinced to create more such spaces for deep learning with the community.

Yes, recordings will be available on the platform page for registered participants.

The sessions will be held online on zoom and you will receive the links when you join the course.

Looking forward to have you join us in this program and co-learn with a nurturing community

You could sign up for the early bird registration now. There are limited seats avaialble which will be offered on first come first serve basis.

You are also welcome to join the Webinar with Shammi on the same topic by signing up below.

It’s our sincere desire that this program be accessible to all those who want to come, irrespective of their financial resources, and at the same time, we would like the costs of organising the program to be covered – and the organising team who is putting in their heart, time and energy – to be nurtured and taken care of. We are wanting to look for creative ways to be inclusive as well as sustainable.

The attempt to make things work for all of us is an integral part of what this event is about, and corresponds to specific parts of the content of the event itself: it’s about having difficult conversations where we can hold the needs of all the concerned with consent and a spirit of collaboration, shifting from negotiations to dialogue; from an individual perspective to an interdependent one. In our own ways, we are trying to live with collaboration while we want to share the BMLY course, while also integrating the consciousness of Nonviolent Communication(NVC) it becomes even more exciting to explore diverse strategies as we work with money

In this instance, we are utilising a variety of approaches with the aim to reach enough sustainability, enough clarity, enough ease, enough self-responsibility, and enough accessibility for all.

  1. We have settled on the contributions that are calculated to cover all associated costs, including ongoing sustainability for the organising team and the facilitator, and supporting exemptions/scholarships.
  2. We invite any participant who can contribute more than the requested amount to consider giving more, as it will help us organise the events well and allow us to welcome more people to attend while offering them discounts.
  3. We aim to find a way to also accommodate everyone who is unable to contribute at the level we requested through a variety of strategies as you can see below.

Financial structure: Working Creatively with Money

It’s our desire that this program be accessible to all those who want to come, irrespective of their financial resources, especially those who have been systemically denied access to them. We would like the costs of organising the program to be covered – and the organising team who is putting in their heart, time and energy – to be nurtured and taken care of. We are wanting to look for creative ways to be inclusive as well as sustainable.

The attempt to make things work for all of us is an integral part of our values and also what this event is about, and corresponds to specific parts of the content of the event itself: it’s about having difficult conversations where we can hold the needs of all the concerned with consent and a spirit of collaboration, shifting from negotiations to dialogue; from an individual perspective to an interdependent one and from Scarcity to Abundance. In our own ways, we are trying to live with collaboration as we want to build a ‘Teal’ Family' or a larger 'Teal Community' and are also integrating the consciousness of Nonviolent Communication(NVC) as it becomes even more exciting to to explore diverse strategies as we work with money.

This attempt to being inclusive and having equity does take some time and effort from us too, however we gain your presence with this effort. We get a much diverse participants who come here to co-create this rich and meaningful event.

Since we may at times not offer to support every one we are giving preference to people who have been on the margins due to structural and systemic imbalances, as well as those who are choosing to work on social change projects or are community contributors. If you wish to apply for the discounts and exemptions please fill the form

We are trying our best with different strategies to include people with diverse financial capacities, which are listed below

  1. INSTALMENTS
For those who are not able to contribute the given amount in any of the categories right away and are able to do it over time, we offer a way to contribute in 3  instalments. This is a way for you to be able to have more ease, and for us to have the full sustainability we are hoping for. The installment facility is available even for those who are offering less than the full amount.
2. DISCOUNTS & EXEMPTIONS

We are hoping that you see the sincerity of our effort and trust us for our intentions, even when we are not able to find a solution that is fully satisfying for you.

To apply for applicable discounts please fill the form below, we will then have a dialogue with you. These responses will help us get a better understanding of your situation and will help us make the choice to support the person who is most eligible for the discount. We may not be able to satisfy everyone but trust that we will be seen for our intentions.
